Scholarship for Joseph Cole Jr.

Mr. Joseph Cole Jr., a Sierra Leonean citizen, was awarded a scholarship in 2014 to pursue a Master’s Degree in Landscape Ecology and Nature Conservation at the University of Greifswald in Germany. A total sum of € 9,780.00 was provided to cover his monthly expenses for the period of April 2014 to March 2015 with a holiday job during his semester breaks for the Association in autumn. Mr. Cole studied a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Education at the Njala University in Sierra Leone which he completed in 2009. He then worked for Deutsche Welthungerhilfe e. V. a German organization in Sierra Leone.

 

Deutsche Welthungerhilfe e. V. which is cooperating with Für Sierra Leone e. V. recommended him for the scholarship. He has now successfully completed his studies as scheduled for in 2015 in Greifswald with a good result.

 

Für Sierra Leone e. V. will facilitate his return home where he will contribute to the development of the country.

Mr. Cole on his return to Sierra Leone plans to work as a senior Government official or in the field of Non Governmental Organization.
